Synchronicity in effect.
@MusicWeeklies' new challenge is #oldschool, with a deadline on this coming Friday.
This coming Friday is also the date for our grammar school graduation class anniversary meeting - including a tour through our recently restored old school building. Old school - get it?
So, I opted to go a little outside of the requirement specification, and simply said I'll do my style oldschool/newschool. Like, what if I travelled back in time and produced a track that my oldschool me would've tried to do having the producer skillz of my current me (plus the tools).
There's samples from old live recordings (recorded at my old school), quotes from themes of old compositions, old attempts at polyrhythm and -meter with today's background, a return to cheesy synth versions of a slapped electric bass guitar, and sounds of a drum machine that I would've liked to have back then. And a virtual version of an old synth of mine.
Enjoy!
