The composition has, as the protagonist, "Maria & the Gang". For the first price ceremony, Pierre, the sidekick, is rooted in expressionism, while Maria already goes full-on dodecaphonic.
For the next ceremony, the Gang has moved to purely tone-row territory.
Which results in the antagonists, the oSf (old Swedish farts), moving from an extremely boring two-harmony homophonic outing with the continuo doubling the string trio over something a little more varied to a state of complete ignorance of what just happened, culminating in a closing statement that is little more than a tacet.
